NO MATTERS PRODUCTION enters fantasia at the valence festival !

This 27th edition aims to reveal emerging talents in screenwriting and to educate people in the art of writing images, with a view to inspiring new careers.

After winning second prize at the Paris Screenplay Awards and have been selected for the Tel Aviv International Film Festival in the category best short film script, Fantasia is once again in the running to be part of the the official 2024 selection of this major event in the life of a film! The story, which tackles the subject of battered women, aims to reach a wide audience by presenting its message through a sensory and psychedelic journey through 1960s America. A constant confrontation between reality and dreams is staged to illustrate the impact that a sectarian community can have on a couple of different beliefs.

In 1997, screenwriting consultant and teacher Isabelle Massot founded the International Screenwriters Festival. It was the first initiative of its kind, highlighting her desire for film writers to be able to share, meet professionals and address the general public. It also provides a platform for young writers to present their work.

Valence remains the only event entirely dedicated to the promotion of visual writing, covering all genres (fiction, documentary, animation, audiovisual adaptation, sound and music writing), all lengths (short and feature films), and all media (cinema, television, web, podcast, innovative writing). It is a professional film and audiovisual festival open to the general public. category 1 by the CNC.

The best project in each category of the Official Selection is awarded a Cristal Pen or a Cristal Inkwell. These awards are accompanied by prizes designed to give scriptwriters greater professional mobility through partnerships with other organisations. Winners are given the opportunity to forge links, make contacts, develop a professional network, and prepare to showcase their project with a view to developing their short film into a feature-length feature at major cultural events.

  • The France Télévisions grant

France Télévisions supports the development and promotion of new talent by awarding a mobility grant to the winning authors of the Plumes et Encriers de Cristal awards. This grant enables them to travel to support venues such as festivals and writing residencies.

A guaranteed place at WIPP Festival and a pro badge for the Paris Courts Devant Festival.

Le WIPP Festival (Work in Progress Performance) showcases projects currently being written every December. The writers each have fifteen minutes on stage to pitch their project in their own way. A panel of professionals, including producers, and a student jury are on hand to judge. The festival also includes screenings, masterclasses and plenty of networking opportunities.

Paris Courts Devant is without doubt the biggest international short film festival in the Paris region. With its mix of originality, diversity and innovation, it's the place to be for short film professionals!

  • Plume de Cristal for best feature film script

Awarded by the Creation Jury, the Claude Miller writing workshop launched in 2011 is an opportunity to perfect the writing of your screenplay and benefit from the advice of three seasoned professionals during the residency in June and October.
