THE SPIN-OFF FROM A FEATURE FILM IN PREPARATION.
Ninno Mazzone's first film was, after all, just a spin-off from a feature film currently in preparation. Written in 2019, the feature film Love Lasts One Night is a work that skilfully fuses comedy and drama to offer an experience with punk and dreamlike tones. The story deals with the reunion of six protagonists who had drifted apart 4 years earlier. The spectator is invited to explore their past, where each element is a fragment of understanding essential to unravelling the threads of the group's separation.
The writing of this film was profoundly influenced by works that shaped his artistic vision. These include Trainspotting from Danny Boyle played a major and inspiring role in the genesis of the film he wrote. The narrative power and brutal exploration of human behaviour in this British film left an indelible mark on his creativity. Diving into the meanders of drugs and the solitude of Danny Boyle's characters prompted him to reflect deeply on the duality between reality and dreams, on the extremes to which an individual can go to find his own happiness.
The film he has written is inspired by this intense exploration of the depths of the human soul, seeking to capture the tension between raw reality and the innermost aspirations of each character. Guiding his narrative towards a similar quest for authenticity and raw emotion.
